AWT Pro Angle 2 Emulsion Scoop Coater

Coat screens evenly and uniformly with the Pro Angle 2 emulsion scoop coater. This scoop coater is designed for easy and comfortable handling while providing a smooth layer of emulsion on your screen. The coating angle is designed on a perfect angle, and the coater itself is calibrated to give you a perfect coating of emulsion every time. Made from hard anodized gold aluminum, enclosures are permanent for quick cleaning without leaking. The Pro Angle 2 has two edges, a sharp edge and rounded edge when a thicker coat is desired. It also holds more emulsion than our standard scoop coater.

Always order a coater 1" larger than your liquid coating size. For example, a 10" coater covers a 9" liquid coating area. Your coating area should be 2" (1" on each side) larger than your copy or print area. That means your scoop coater size is a total of 3" larger than your print area for optimum coating results. Scoop coaters work best when the coating edge is cleaned with damp cloth and warm water after each use.
*Be sure to remove the black plastic protective piece from scoop coater before using!

Which Size Is Right For Me?

14 Inch - Use this size for coating 18" x 20" screens.
16 Inch - Use this size for coating 20" x 24" screens.
18 Inch - Use this size for coating 23" x 31" screens.
20 Inch - Use this size for coating 25" x 36" screens.

We have used a lot of scoop coaters over the years, but this is our favorite. The grip is a bit awkward at first and takes some getting used to, but the emulsion goes on smooth and does not leave heavy deposits along the edges. Saves time and coats cleaner.

We were impressed by the overall design especially the flushed edges with the sides.  Hopefully no more popped screens from snagging that other coaters have made & thick beads of emulsion on the sides.

Never thought of ever upgrading my scoop coater from my generic starter one I bought 5 years ago. Decided it was time for a new one and took the plunge. Let me tell you this thing is a game changer. It’s so nice and coats screens soooo smooth. Don't forget it has two edges in case you want thicker or thinner coats. The ergonomic handles are nice too. Get this thing!
