500 Watt Halogen Exposure Light

This 500 watt halogen light is great for people who want to expose screens the affordable way. When placed approximately 12" above the screen, this light will properly expose most emulsions in around 5 to 7 minutes depending on distance from screen. It is always best to do a few exposure tests to find the correct exposure time for your set-up.

* Be sure to remove the wire cage and glass from the light. The wire cage will cause shadows and the glass has a uv coating which will not allow it to burn the screen properly.

I have been trying to find exposure times for a 10x14 inch frame using a similar Quartz lamp to the one shown and have anywhere between 3 and 15 minutes. 7 minutes worked perfectly. I also doubled up on my transparency as there were a couple of areas that were slightly opaque.

great tool for non-pro screenprinters. took me 10 minutes to remove cover, etc, then pop in bulb and ready to go!
