LXP Pre-Sensitized LED Optimized Emulsion - Quart

ProChem L.X.P. is an all-purpose solvent and water resistant photopolymer emulsion. Specially formulated with special photo-initiators for newer L.E.D. light sources. This product is an extremely high viscosity emulsion with a high solids content which yields a better coating, sharp edges, and excellent resolution. ProChem L.X.P. is pre-sensitized and does not require the addition of Diazo. This product saves time as it exposes very fast. Reclaiming the screen when using ProChem L.X.P. is easy with CCI Stencil Removers, which are available in concentrate and ready-to-use formulas.

TIP: Post expose the screen for increased durability with water based inks, see Tech Sheet for details.
*Handle in light safe conditions and make sure to store in a cool dry place.

Features

  • Water resistant.
  • No hardeners needed.
  • Durable enough for long print runs using water based and discharge inks
  • Holds pristine detail during automatic printing.
  • High solids concentration allows for superior penetration of mesh.
  • Extremely fast exposure time for quicker screen burning.

I am new to screen printing and so far this has seemed like a great product. It applies very easily compared to another emulsion I was using before this. I can't really speak much to the exposure because I am still trying to figure out a consistent exposure set-up as I was originally relying on the sun, but am now trying to use a UV lamp. So far I have noticed good exposure, but I don't think I let the emulsion dry long enough. I only gave it like an hour where I think I want to give it closer to 4 hours now. But I noticed good detail captured in my exposures, despite the emulsion not being quite dried enough.

Great Emulsion April 21, 2016

Had to play around with the variables to dial in a proper exposure time. Do not get if you are impatient as exposure times need to be precise. Very unforgiving compared to dual cure or even photopolymer emulsion.

Otherwise a great emulsion and the green is a nice change in color.
