LOVE IT- works much better than using mat cards! |

At only $1.25, I figured I'd give it a try- it's much more eco-friendly than disposable mat cards. I'm glad I did because it works way better than mat cards! It does an amazing job at scraping ALL the excess ink off my screens & scooping it back into the containers.
The number 1 reason the plastic ink card scraper beats out mat cards is the shape. It is a thin, double-wedge shape- so it's thicker in the center of the card and the two opposite edges are very thin, which helps get the ink onto the card. The corners are also rounded, whereas a mat card is squared, which I love because it makes it much quicker and easier to get the ink around the edges of my screens (the edges are never perfect squares once I tape it off). It also works great with my scoop coater- the round edge fits perfectly in the corner of the scoop coater. My scoop coater has removable ends, so I can just remove one end and scoop all the excess emulsion back into the container in one or two swipes.
