I got the 18x18 to replace an older Econo-Flash. Construction and finish quality are far superior to the Econo so for a few dollars more you would be better off going to a good unit.

The adjustable level knob is a handy item for rough or uneven floors. The aluminum heat shields around the edge, while I'm not sure they help extend the heat range do provide a nice safety feature keeping those pesky fingers from getting to close to the element.

Takes a bit longer to fully warm up than the Econo but checking the surface area with a laser temp I saw even heating and no hot spots.

I should have got the caster wheels since the unit weighs a bit more than the Econo due to the sturdy construction.
